Vinification: Delicate destemming and pressing followed by maceration in stainless steel tanks

Ageing: in different-sized Slavonian oak barrels and further ageing in the bottle

Sensory notes

Colour: ruby red

Nose: winey, with overtones of red berry fruit and pepper on flowery notes

Palate: dry and nicely contoured this wine ages gracefully

Food pairing: very good with spicy red meat dishes, game, and pastas or risottos with mushrooms

Serving temperature: 16-18 °C

Alcohol content: 13% vol.

Ageing potential: 8 years

The wild, lush vegetation bordering the vineyards protects the grapes from severe weather, the woods being by nature excellent custodians.
