An ancient red berry grape variety, cultivated as far back as 1600 BC. It owes its name to the particular shape of the grape bunch, which resembles a pine.

Viticulture: single Guyot, grassed vineyard

Winemaking

Harvest: by hand during the last week of October

Vinification: 15/20-day maceration with manual punching-down of the cap followed by traditional fermentation

Ageing: in 500 L French oak barrels and further ageing in the bottle

Sensory notes

Colour: deep ruby red

Nose: the characteristic delicate bouquet is rich and caressing with notes of fruit and spices. Wine with a strong personality

Palate: warm, plush and caressing with velvety tannins

Food pairing: goes very well with structured dishes, charcoal grilled meat, pot roasts and mature cheeses

Serving temperature: 18 °C

Alcohol content: 14% vol.

Ageing potential: 10 years

Cellar temperature: 10-15 °C
